What is this? A page in color!? This is the surprise I was talking about!
I have always wanted to have The Din in color, but I have been playing it safe by keeping it all in black and white. By safe I mean it's easier to go back and redraw and it's easier to keep up the update pace if it's all black and white. However, I am feeling confident that Chapter 1 won't be drastically changed. The only thing that could change is the text and if I'd like to add an additional page or two. But no more redrawing on Chapter 1!
I can't guarantee I'll keep all new pages colored from now on, because I am still on a heavy schedule of reformatting pages and sketching out the new chapter (4). But I'll do my best to keep this up! The Prologue and Chapter 1 will be prioritized when putting colors to this comic. I am also getting extra help on coloring the Prologue! More info about that soon! :)
Anyway, when redrawing Chapter 1 I decided to get proper reference for important returning objects and environments - such as the Emilio's Vehicle (Sixten's car). I built it in Maya and it's served me well this far! For more pictures of 3D-refs that I built - - go to the gallery section. :)
